Acclaimed for her numerous contributions to the field of fertility, Dr. Polak has years of experience in patient care and scientific research. A doctor specializing in endocrinology and gynecology, she teaches gynecology at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. In addition to her prestigious career in assisted fertilization, Dr. Polak has had an outstanding career in scientific research and has also been active in the field of bioethics, serving as the Vice-President of the Latin American Network for Eco-Bioethics (UNESCO).
Dr. Polak has been invited to give numerous international conferences on her area of expertise. In addition to serving as president of the Argentine Society of Reproductive Health from 2001 to 2003, she has also held important positions at international organizations such as the International Federation of Fertility and Sterility (IFFS). Her investigations are frequently published in well-known medical journals and presented at conferences both in Argentina and abroad.
Dr. Polak’s unwavering commitment to unfertile couples and to society have won her recognition nationally and internationally. Since 1991, she has served as a regular consultant to Senate and Congressional committees on new reproductive technologies, women’s health, bioethics and stem cell research. In addition, the CER’s Scientific Director has helped dozens of doctors from countries across Latin America to specialize in the field of human reproduction.
With thousands of babies born as the result of her professional excellence and care, Dr. Polak passionately continues her scientific and medical work at the CER in conjunction with a team of highly trained professionals in each area of human reproduction.
